In the first half of a two-part interview with Extra‘s Mario Lopez, which was released on Monday, Clinton had nothing but kind words to say about the reality star and social media queen. “I really enjoyed meeting her,” said Clinton, who met the reality star at one of her fundraisers in Los Angeles in August. “I really found her to be warm and very personable. She had a nice way of introducing her husband – as if I didn’t know who was he was, right? – and I enjoy seeing her with her daughter.” “I think all of us in our ways can be inspirational or aspirational for people,” said Clinton, 67. “I certainly think many people see her as someone who gets up every day and tries to figure out how to make that day successful.” Clinton also touched on Kardashian West’s husband Kanye West and his announcement mid-VMA acceptance speech that he plans to run for president in 2020. “Well, if I’m going for my second term, [I would ask him] to wait four years,” joked Clinton of what advice she would give West. “If I’m not, be sure he has comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking involved.” RELATED: Five Moments We Can’t Stop Talking About from the VMAs Clinton’s daughter Chelsea, 35, also recently weighed in on the potential for a West candidacy in 2020, telling MTV News that she thought the rapper’s declaration was “awesome,” as it could inspire young people to get involved in politics.
