Hilary Duff 'Pampered' Herself with an Alcohol Bath for Her 29th Birthday – and Explains Why She's 'Not Really Scared of Turning 30'
Season 3 of Younger premieres Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. ET on TV Land
Although the leading lady’s special day will be filled with press commitments for the TV Land series, she had a bubbly celebration this past weekend.
“I’m working all day on my birthday – it’s press bonanza for the show coming out. I celebrated this weekend,” Duff, 28, tells PEOPLE.
“I did a spa day,” Duff, who is mom to 4-year-old Luca, reveals. “It was so nice because we just finished filming the show and it was a little hectic towards the end, so I had a massage, and this soak. I had never done this soak before, but it was in a sake bathtub and it just makes your skin really soft. So I pampered myself over the weekend, which was nice.”
With the arrival of her 29th year, Duff realizes that a new decade of life is on the horizon: her thirties. So just how does the former Lizzie McGuire star feel about the big 3-0?
“I feel like I’m not that excited about 29, but hopefully by 30 I’ve wrapped my head around it and I will have a big party,” Duff admits. “ just seems blah, like an in between. Yeah, it kind of sucks I’m not going to be – this is my last year in my twenties. But I’m not really scared of turning 30. So it’s not an age thing, it’s just a what’s 29?”
