Mirren's new film, Woman in Gold, comes out April 1

There are a few things in life that are funny, no matter who you are. Helium is, was and always will be one of those.

And when you combine that with the living treasure that is Helen Mirren, well, you get late-night television dynamite.

Mirren’s new film, Woman in Gold, out April 1, is anything but lighthearted: Mirren stars as a Maria Altmann, a woman suing the Austrian government for the return of artwork the Nazis stole from her family.

Given the film’s heavy subject matter, you can’t really fault Jimmy Fallon for turning to lightweight helium during her appearance on the show, can you?

Mirren inhales some helium and answers some questions, gives a faux-acceptance speech and even recites some adorably English profanity, all while failing to give up an inch of her poise.

God save Helen Mirren.
