Welcome to the ’60s, Maddie Baillio!

NBC has officially found its star to take on the lead role of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray Live!

According to the network, the 20-year-old singer and dancer from League City, Texas, won the role at an open casting call attended by nearly 1,000 hopefuls.

Baillio joins a star-studded cast that includes Harvey Fierstein (who is also writing the teleplay and will reprise his Tony-winning performance as brassy mama Edna Turnblad), Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle and Derek Hough TV host Corny Collins.

Hairspray Live! airs Dec. 7 on NBC.
