Saving the best for last? (Yes, haters, we ship Rory and Dean still.)

Rory (Alexis Bledel)’s first boyfriend – and first time – is the final ex-boyfriend to join Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival.

Jared Padalecki is reprising his role as her high school sweetheart Dean, according to Variety, which reports that Rory’s dad Christopher (David Sutcliffe) will also officially return.

[IMAGE “2” “” “std” ]Netflix has already confirmed that Rory’s college love Logan (Matt Czuchry) and the bad boy who broke her heart, Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), will be back in Stars Hollow.

Padalecki, who starred in Gilmore Girls since the pilot, has had a successful career on the CW’s Supernatural for 11 seasons.

Though we’re #TeamDean besides that awkward time he cheated on his wife with Rory, Padalecki, 33, told PEOPLE that he rooted for his romantic rival in real life.

“Honest to god, I was always Team Jess. I don’t know if it’s because I love Milo so much,” he said at June’s ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. “And even as young 19-, 20-year-old actor, Milo, who had grown up in Venice, he took me under his wing, took me to different restaurants and kind of made me feel welcome. So I didn’t blame Rory for her Jess relationship he’s a handsome dude. He’s brooding and built and handsome.”

Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date for the still untitled four-part miniseries.
