What started as a three-hour tour turned into a story of love that might have been.
“I think if either one of us had been single or both of us had been single, there would’ve been some chemistry,” she says in an exclusive sneak peek at Saturday’s episode. “He had the best sense of humor, he was the funniest. And he was a hunk.”
The actress will be sitting down for the catch-up series to talk about her career and fondly remember her costar.
In the clip, Wells, 77, remembers how she didn’t find out Johnson, who died in early 2014, had received a Purple Heart for his service in World War II until his funeral.
Johnson “was not a bragger,” says Wells, who adds that he was “very witty, very handsome.”
She adds, “[He was a] good man – miss him.”
