It’s a lucky thing that Maisie Williams portrays Arya and not, say, Daenerys, on Game of Thrones – the actress watches it with her “nan!”

Williams, 17, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday to promote the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. Cast in the role of Arya when was was only 12 years old, she has always watched the show with her entire family – and “every time there was a pair of boobs on screen my mum would fill up [my nan’s] drink with more gin,” she told her TV host.

Between Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Shae (Sibel Kekilli), Ellaria (Indira Varma) and the sheer amount of nameless, naked women that act as set dressing in many a brothel scene in King’s Landing, Williams’s 87-year-old grandmother must be half in the bag following each episode.

Williams also revealed that she hasn’t read the Song of Ice and Fire novels on which the series is based, but she’s not adverse to a Google every now and then to figure out what’s going on.

In particular, when she was first cast in the role, she read that Arya held a sword in her left hand. She also read online that many fans didn’t expect Williams to switch from her dominant hand to fight as Arya on the show. However, Williams accepted the challenge, proving that she has been proving haters wrong since she was a tween.

Game of Thrones‘s 5th season premieres April 12 (9 p.m. ET) on HBO.
