2016 is a big year for Candace Cameron Bure. She’s the star of Fuller House, streaming on Netflix next month, she’s celebrating 20 years of marriage with husband Valeri Bure and she’s turning the big 4-0.
“I’ve always enjoyed aging,” she tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “But I’m kinda hangin’ on to every last day that I’m 39!”
Still, she adds that she’s “definitely embracing” the upcoming birthday on April 6 even though, “I still don’t feel 40!”

The actress has also been so busy with her new gig co-hosting The View (and flying cross-country every week from her home in Los Angeles to do the show in New York City) that she hasn’t had time to plan for her other big milestone – two decades of marriage with her retired hockey player husband.
“It would be really great if we got away,” she says. “I think if I could do anything it would be to go away on a cruise with my husband. We did that for our 10-year anniversary. We love food and wine and I’d love to do the Mediterranean.”
