While Bob Saget parented three little girls on Full House in the late ’80s and early ’90s, he was also parenting his own three girls at home.

After a day of working on the family sitcom, which originally aired from 1987 to 1995, “my daughter would smell the other baby on me when I came home and think I was cheating on her,” he jokes of filming with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played his youngest TV daughter, Michelle.

Today, the longtime stand-up comedian, 59, says his three grown daughters with ex-wife Sherri Kramer are “the best people I know.”

“They are the light of my life. I am a fortunate man in that all three of my daughters are exceptional. Very high beings, very smart people, very wonderful and very brilliant, very beautiful. They’re all artists.”

“I have a closeness with Candace [Cameron Bure] that’s incredibly strong, and with Jodie [Sweetin] and even Andrea [Barber]. We give each other crap!”
