Between all those unofficial cast reunions and reruns galore, it’s hard to believe it’s been two decades since Full House went off the air.

Now that the cast will be back in the Netflix spin-off series Fuller HouseCandace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber and John Stamos will appear; Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are in talks for guest-starring roles – what better time to reacquaint yourself with the stars who made the show a hit?

John Stamos
He’s done Broadway, movies, TV and become a Greek yogurt pitch man (after all, he is President Obama’s pick for Best Looking Greek) in the post-Uncle Jesse years. Highlights have included a guest-starring turn on Glee and a sexy four-year run as ER‘s Dr. Tony Gates.

Despite being the driving force behind the reboot, Stamos, 51 (who often refers to close pals Saget and Coulier as his brothers), may need to brush up on his Full House reruns. “I haven’t watched an episode in, I’m sure, 20 to 25 years,” Stamos told PEOPLE in 2012. “[But] I’m super proud of the show and I know it means a lot to people and makes them happy.”

Bob Saget
Danny Tanner he is not. The often R-rated comedian has done plenty of raunchy stand-up over the years, and he famously provided the voice-over for How I Met Your Mother and guest-starred on Entourage, among other TV projects. Last year, Saget, 58, released a memoir titled Dirty Daddy and spoke with PEOPLE about the pervasive nostalgia for the show.

“All I have is love for the thing,” he said of the family sitcom. “Not, oh my God, I had to play that guy. The show worked because we’re on every night of the week right now. People learn English from Full House. Candace’s husband, Valeri Bure, he learned to speak English watching it ‘Aw, nuts.’ ‘You got it, dude.’ ”

Dave Coulier
Danny Tanner’s right-hand man, Joey Gladstone, has also done stand-up in the years since Full House and voiced characters on the grownup cartoon series Robot Chicken. (Joey would be so proud!) Several cast members attended his 2014 wedding to Melissa Bring, where Saget gave three toasts and the guys shared an emotional moment as well.

“Bob [Saget] and John [Stamos] pulled me aside after the ceremony,” Coulier, 55, told PEOPLE. “We laughed and we hugged and we kissed each other like three brothers do there were genuine tears of joy welling up in our eyes.”

Lori Loughlin
Fans still call her “Aunt Becky,” but Loughlin, 50, has racked up a number of other roles over the years. Not to mention a husband who isn’t Uncle Jesse. The actress starred in several TV movies, the WB’s Summerland and the 90210 reboot and currently stars in Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart. She’s married to designer Mossimo Giannulli, and the couple have two Lori-look-alike daughters, Isabella Rose, 16, and Olivia Jade, 15. (See them below.)

In 2013, she was a surprise guest at Jesse and the Rippers’ reunion performance on Fallon. “I love that show, the cast and the whole experience,” she recently told PEOPLE of Full House.”I’m really proud that the show has lived on in syndication and many generations have grown up watching it.”

Candace Cameron Bure
DJ Tanner grew up with the cast, so it was only fitting that they all attended her 1996 wedding to NHL star Valeri Bure – even her TV boyfriend Steve, played by Scott Weinger! Often outspoken about her evangelical Christian beliefs, the star chose to dress modestly for her children’s sake during her successful run on Dancing with the Stars. (She and Bure have three children: Natasha, 16, Lev, 15, and Maksim, 13.)

“As much as you want to try and explain your position to people, sometimes at the end of the day it is not worth it,” Bure, 39, told PEOPLE last year. “I need to invest my time in my family and not trying to please everybody or getting them to see my own point of view.”

Jodie Sweetin
In the years following her quick rise to fame as Stephanie Tanner, Sweetin battled highly publicized drug problems, which she detailed in her 2010 memoir, Unsweetened. Now sober for several years, she works in a drug and alcohol treatment center and has two daughters, Zoie, 7 (with ex-husband Cody Herpin), and Beatrix, 4 (with ex-husband Morty Coyle – see her in Sweetin’s Instagram snap below).

She also remains close with Cameron Bure, Stamos, Saget and Coulier. When Sweetin, 33, welcomed her younger daughter in 2010, Cameron Bure couldn’t get enough. At a group gathering, “the whole night was [people saying], ‘Candace, can I hold the baby?’ And she was like, ‘In a minute!’ She was really, really sweet with her. It’s like family and we get to experience all that stuff together.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
The twins who shared the role of Michelle were just 9 months old when they began work on Full House, and they’ve been a pop culture mainstay ever since. Following a pervasive Ashley-and-Mary-Kate-branded body of work (they took charge of their billion-dollar brand, Dualstar, at age 10), they branched out into their own fashion lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James.

There’s plenty of buzz as to whether the 28-year-old twins will be a part of Fuller House, though history wouldn’t suggest it – the Olsens have been largely absent from social cast reunions over the year. And the studio is not commenting beyond the fact that the stars are in talks for guest-starring roles.

Andrea Barber
Barber has long been Full House-focused on social media – her Twitter profile referred to Gibbler, and now reads, “Gibbler, reinstated. The neon tights are baaaack!!” alongside a photo of herself with Cameron Bure and Stamos. An avid runner, she’s been largely under the radar until the news of the spin-off, though her close friendship with her on-screen best friend has prevailed.

“Are you ready to be best friends again @candacecbure,” she Tweeted Monday. Replied her BFF: “We never stopped.”
