Matthew Perry Will Still Participate in Friends Reunion – Just Not in Person
Matthew Perry will miss the taping because he will be in London rehearsing for an upcoming play
As previously reported, Perry won’t attend NBC’s reunion, which will reunite the cast for a two-hour special honoring the sitcom’s director James Burrows who recently shot his 1,000th episode of television.
Now, Perry has confirmed he can’t shoot the special in person on Jan. 24 because he will be in London rehearsing for his upcoming play, The End of Longing, which will debut in February.
“The other five are going to be on this special, and I am going to introduce them from London,” he added.
The network announced the reunion Wednesday, and Entertainment Chair Bob Greenblatt promised each star would appear, if not all at once.
The special airs Feb. 21 on NBC.
