French forensic experts are examining DNA traces found at Kim Kardashian West’s apartment in the hopes of tracking down the men who robbed her at gunpoint, according to Paris media.

The evidence was found in the Paris apartment at the No Address Hotel, where the 35-year-old reality star was held at gunpoint on Oct. 3 by masked men who stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry including her $4 million ring.

Investigators are also looking into DNA found on a stolen pendant the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has confirmed belonged to her. It was recovered by a bystander shortly after the heist, just blocks away from the crime scene, in the French capital’s 8th arrondissement, BFM-TV reports.

Sources on the investigation confirmed to AFP Wednesday that several DNA traces were in fact discovered in the apartment, but none yet on necklace robbers lost in their getaway.

“The DNA is actually in the process of being exploited,” one police source told the news agency. However “no DNA has been found at this stage of the investigations on a pendant set with diamonds, found in the street near the scene of the robbery a few hours after the robbery,” they say.

The recovered item is a platinum mounted diamond cross from Jacob and Co. worth $33,180, according to TMZ.

French prosecutors have formally opened an investigation into the armed robbery of the reality star, judicial sources confirm to AFP.

The Kardashian West robbery is the largest jewel robbery committed against an individual in France in the last 20 years, the French wire service reports.

Since returning to her home in Los Angeles on Thursday with her two children, daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 10 months, Kardashian West has maintained an extremely low profile.

Sources previously told PEOPLE she hasn’t left the house and has been spending time with her kids, as well as the rest of her famous family.

“For the most part, the whole family has been on lockdown,” the insider said. “Everyone is affected by what happened to Kim. Kim has spent a lot of time with her family over the weekend. The whole weekend was all about family time.”

While her sisters all gradually returned to social media and resumed posting content on their apps in the last few days, Kim’s Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as her app, have all been radio silent.
