Stars around New York City have celebrated the country's maritime forces by posting a #selfiewithasailor

Katie Couric got her flirt on with a handsome sailor on Wednesday. What did you do?

Couric is just one of a flood celebrities participating in New York City’s 27th annual Fleet Week, which kicked off May 20 and honors the contributions of maritime service men and women.

This year, the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard have decided to make a social media splash by encouraging people to snap photos with the troops and use the hashtag #SelfieWithASailor – and plenty of celebrities have been quick to dive right in.

Jimmy Fallon invited sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen and women to a taping of the Tonight Show on Tuesday.

While visiting the show that same day, Jamie Foxx took a group pic with the entire studio audience.

Vanessa Hudgens took a break from her busy schedule of performing Gigi on Broadway to give the armed forces a shout-out on Wednesday, then kept the celebration going when the Coast Guard came to Friday’s performance of the show.

Today hosts Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie snagged pics with the troops who visited the show.

Adam Baldwin, appropriately the star of TNT’s The Last Ship brought out the big guns for a shot on board the USS Stout, then paired up with costar Jocko Sims for a Times Square self-portrait.

Meghan Trainor showed she’s about more than just bass when she made time for a #SelfieWithASailor during a visit to Today.

Maybe it should be called #SmolderWithASailor? Hot Tub Time Machine star Craig Robinson gave the camera his best smize while visiting The View on Thursday.

Miss USA Nia Sanchez proved that just about anything goes with that coveted sash – even a hat borrowed from a sailor.
