After months of teasing – and a recently announced title – we finally have our first look at the Walking Dead companion series, Fear the Walking Dead.

As we’ve come to expect from the franchise, the teaser – which first aired during the finale of TWD – reveals very little.

“Hope you got your flu shot,” warns a radio announcer over footage of sunny Los Angeles. “Reports in five states that a strange virus is going around, so if you’re not feeling well, go home and take care of yourself.”

The teaser ends with a walker ambling its way toward the camera.

Set to debut this summer, Fear the Walking Dead has already received a two-season order from AMC, mirroring the same strategy afforded to Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul. The series is a prequel of sorts, taking place just as the outbreak began making its way throughout the United States.
