In a season full of songs both catchy (“Keep Your Money“) and questionable (“Drip Drop“), Fox’s Empire just aired what many fans consider its best song yet.

But don’t just take our word for it – as of this writing, the song has hit #4 on the iTunes singles chart.

Not just a good jam for a TV show cranking them out week after week, “Conquerer,” as performed by Jussie Smollett and British singer-songwriter Estelle, is a legitimately beautiful duet that will be stuck in your head all week.

The melody is as soaring as its lyrics (“I’d rather stand tall / Than live on my knees, / ‘Cause I am a conqueror, / And I won’t accept defeat”) and Estelle’s voice is perfectly matched to Smollett’s, whose gorgeous vocals are sometimes drowned out by overproduction.

In Wednesday’s episode, “Unto the Breach,” Jamal (Smollett) managed to sign Delfine (Estelle) to Empire Entertainment despite Lucious’s (Terrence Howard) initial misgivings about his son’s desire to take on a more businesslike role within the family company.

So, we can only hope for more duets from these two in the future, because Empire just knocked it out of the park and set a near-impossible standard with three episodes left in a season that has shattered ratings records week after week. (No pressure, show.)

Empire airs Wednesdays (9 p.m. ET) on Fox.
