See Which 2020 Emmy Nominees Turned TV's Biggest Night Into a Family Affair
Find out which of Hollywood's cutest couples and proud parents tuned in together for this year's virtual Emmy Awards
Dan & Eugene Levy
Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade
Union showed off her skills with a rap celebrating Issa Rae’s Insecure in a segment that featured celebrities introducing their favorite shows — before her husband snuck in the frame to hilariously cut her off. “Black girl magic, my girls do they duty /And in the love scenes, they show the boys’ booties,” she began before adding, “Yeah, I said what I said /The show’s mad funny / Issa’s tryina’ find herself, Molly’s got money / They in and out of love, it’s oh so cute to see / And did I mention, in the love scenes, they show the boys’ booties!”
Amy Sherman-Palladino & Daniel Palladino
The Gilmore Girls creator and her husband tuned in virtually from the Dragonfly Inn, which fans of the series recognized as lead character Lorelai’s dream project. The pair were each nominated for outstanding directing in a comedy series for separate episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and while neither won in that category, Daniel did take home the award for outstanding music supervision for the episode his wife directed.
Mark Ruffalo & Sunrise Coigney
Ruffalo’s wife stole the spotlight with her emotional response to the star being awarded outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie for his dual role in I Know This Much Is True.
Jason Bateman & Francesca Nora Bateman
Bateman’s 13-year-old daughter may have missed out on a red carpet with her dad, but with three consecutive nominations for outstanding lead actor in a drama series for his role in Ozark under his belt, we’re betting that she’ll have another chance next year.
Hugh Jackman & Deborah-Lee Furness
The Wolverine star may not have nabbed the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie for his role in Bad Education, but he did have his beloved wife of 23 years by his side, and that feels like the ultimate prize.
Holland Taylor & Sarah Paulson
Fans were delighted to see American Horror Story star Paulson beside her partner of five years, cheering on the Hollywood actress, who was nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series/movie for her turn in the 2020 Netflix series.
William Jackson Harper & Ali Ahn
Harper, who was up for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for his role in The Good Place, scored his first Emmy nomination this year. There to celebrate the special night alongside him was girlfriend and actress Ali Ahn.
Rachel Brosnahan & Jason Ralph
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, who was up for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, took the virtual dress code to the next level with a coordinated couples pajama set alongside her husband and their adorable pups.
Zendaya & Her Family
Zendaya made Emmys history at 24 as the youngest person to win outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her role in Euphoria. As the star gave her acceptance speech from home, she thanked her family and crew, many of whom were there in person to share the special night with her.
Julia Garner & Mark Foster
The Ozark star teared up while accepting the award for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for the second year in a row, thanking her husband of one year at the end of her heartfelt speech. The duo dressed to the nines for the occasion, channeling 1920s-era stars with Garner decked out in pearls and the Foster the People musician in a silk robe.
