Now that’s a true fan!

Ty Burrell was spotted at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Sunday afternoon – and considering the 2016 Emmys are about to kick off, he’s certainly cutting it close.

The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards are set to begin at 8 p.m. ET at the Microsoft Theater, which is about a 10 minute drive from the stadium, no traffic. A source tells PEOPLE he’s doing a quick-change in the car en route to the ceremony.

The Modern Family star, 49, is nominated for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

Burrell has been nominated for the award every year since 2010. He took home the trophy twice: once in 2011, and once in 2014.

Watch PEOPLE & EW Red Carpet Live Sunday night on PEOPLE.com and on People/Entertainment Weekly Network – available on streaming devices or at people.com/PEN.

The actor is a self-proclaimed lifelong Rams fan, telling the Los Angeles Times that when NFL owners voted to approve the team’s move from St. Louis to Los Angeles earlier this year, “it felt like the best daydream ever.”

“When we got the news, it was as if one of the Burrells has landed on the moon,” he quipped. “The phones blew up … I mean, it was amazing. We couldn’t believe it. It still feels really weird, really wild that they came back.”

The 2016 Emmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
