Richard Jenkins had stars in his eyes when he won the 2015 Emmy Award for outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie for his role in Olive Kitteridge.

“That was Lady Gaga!” said Jenkins while accepting the award from the pop star presenter.

“I would like to thank the incredible women who made Olive Kitteridge happen, there’s about 100,000 of them,” he continued.

Jenkins was up against Timothy Hutton in American Crime, Adrien Brody in Houdini, Ricky Gervais in Derek, David Oyelowo in Nightingale and Mark Rylance in Wolf Hall.
