Turns out Elizabeth Banks isn’t immune to embarrassing dad stories.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 star stopped by The Tonight Show to discuss the final installment of the film franchise, while offering up hilarious childhood tidbits – as one does when prompted by Jimmy Fallon.
It didn’t take long for Banks to think of an embarrassing story from her childhood, especially when her father and sister are sitting in the audience.
“I was 12 or 13 years old, so the peak of embarrassment and horribleness,” the actress-director begins, telling the TV host about what starts off as an innocent car ride.
“He hocks up a loogie, spits it out the front window, aerodynamics takes it, right into the back window and slaps me in the face with it,” she says before offering up an appropriate hashtag for the occasion: “#StopItDad”
If a teen Banks is anything like us at that age, we’re not sure if we’d be able to have the strength to sit near an open window again. Unsurprisingly, the Pitch Perfect 2 director no longer has any qualms with her dad about the incident.
“I obviously love him, he’s here,” she says.
