It's the Carpool Karaoke we've all been waiting for By Char Adams Published on June 1, 2017 08:22 AM Share Tweet Pin Email width=”100%”, height=”480″ It’s the Carpool Karaoke we’ve all been waiting for. James Corden is taking the Late Late Show to his native England in June, and tapped one of the U.K.’s (and the world’s) biggest stars to climb into the famous van: Ed Sheeran. Corden, 38, broke the news in a tweet this week, writing, “If you’ve been waiting for @edsheeran #CarpoolKaraoke it’s happening during #LateLateLondon with so much more!” Naturally, fans were more than pleased, replying to the tweet with comments like “OMG YASSS” and “Can not wait for next week!!” The teaser features the showmen belting out Sheeran hits like “Sing” and “Castle on the Hill.” During an appearance on Capital FM’s Roman Kemp show, Sheeran, 26, said that the highly anticipated Carpool Karaoke has been in the works for about three years. “I know the whole thing is singing to your tune, but I think I’d feel a bit awkward singing to my song,” Sheeran said then. The True Cost of Famous TV Apartments “I think I’d just want to put on some Biggie … I want to put on something really awkward and dirty, like Biggie’s song, ‘Big Booty Hoes,’ or something like that and just hear James Corden sing along to that.” It is unclear whether the stars will break out the rap lyrics. The Sheerios will just have to wait and see. The Late Late Show‘s London takeover will also feature stars like Emily Blunt, Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Kit Harington and more.
