“It was a last-minute decision we made today on whether I was going to dance or not tonight,” an injured Burgess told reporters backstage after watching her partner perform their routines with replacement pro dancer Jenna Johnson.
“I prefer dancing with him, but I love watching him dance a lot,” she said of watching Hinchcliffe Monday . “I was filled with pride.”
But with two weeks left in the season, Burgess is still unsure what her future on the ABC reality dance competition will be.
“I want to say 100 percent,” she said of her chances of being back next week. “But I genuinely thought I 100 percent would be back this week, so it’s hard for me to throw that number out there.”
“I just have to take it day by day and continue to make the right decision for my career,” she continued. “But it’s really difficult. I love every single thing about this season with James. It’s my favorite season and I don’t want to miss out on any of it.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
