Entertainment TV DWTS' Helio: No Breakup, But No Wedding (Yet) Either By People Staff Published on October 29, 2007 12:00 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Photo: Amy Martin/WireImage Those rumors that suggested Dancing with the Stars contestant Helio Castroneves had broken off his relationship with his fianc e, Cuban fashion designer Aliette Vazquez: False. But the two-time Indy 500 champ does say he and Vazquez postponed their December wedding because of all the time he’s spent preparing for DWTS. “We postponed it for a little bit until next year,” Castroneves told Entertainment Tonight. “Everything is happening so quick. The (IndyCar Series) championship is over, the dancing started, and basically, I was like, ‘Ali, let’s take it easy. Otherwise, we will be divorced before we get married!'” Castroneves, who says he and Vazquez will “hopefully” reschedule their nuptials for January, isn’t the first DWTS contestant to have a wedding take a back seat to the ABC reality series. Castroneves’s partner on the show, Julianne Hough, also postponed her wedding to fellow dancer Zach Wilson because she was so busy preparing for the current season. She and Wilson were originally scheduled to get married in August. Though Vazquez and Castroneves are going to be waiting a bit longer to dance at their wedding, they’ll both look really good doing it: The racer says he’s already asked Hough to teach his future wife how to cut a rug. “(Julianne’s) probably going to be teaching my fianc e to dance,” he says. “Because now I want to dance with someone who knows how to dance.” And Hough’s on board. “I’m so excited,” she tells ET. “Ali actually said, ‘Come in and teach me some lessons and we can dance together.’ Absolutely, I will be (at their wedding).” In the meantime, Castroneves is putting the pedal to the metal as he races to the DWTS finish line, as he and All My Children star Cameron Mathison are the only two male celeb contestants left in the competition heading into tonight’s episode (9 p.m. ET, ABC). Tell us: Do you think Helio or Cameron have a chance to beating their female competitors for the championship? Or is it all about the women this season? –Kimberly PottsPhoto: Amy Martin/WireImage
