Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump have had their fair share of ups and downs, but the pair will hash everything out Tuesday night when they sit down to talk about their tumultuous last year.

“He’s the biggest story in the country by far,” Kelly tells PEOPLE. “So, people are fascinated by him, and he’s a fascinating character. I see that, too, and I’ve had a particularly weird relationship with him.”

For months the presidential hopeful spoke out against Kelly, 45, calling her “sick” and “the most overrated person on television” after he felt she did not treat him fairly during the debate in August.

Now after nearly nine months of conflict and a private one-on-one meeting, the two will face off in person on Megyn Kelly Presents.

“I think the most electric moment of that sit-down will be when I ask him about this past year and what’s happened between the two of us,” she teases.

“It’s one thing to have somebody else ask him about what he’s done, and it’s quite another to have me ask him. How is he going to handle it when we’re sitting right across from each other? I think people want to see that.”

Megyn Kelly Presents airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox, with extended portions of the interview airing on The Kelly File next week on Fox News.
