Another Bachelorette has tied the knot!
Desiree Hartsock said “I do” to fiancé Chris Siegfried in a romantic church ceremony on Sunday in Palos Verdes, California, PEOPLE confirms.
“Guess what?! We’re married! #NoJoke #RealDeal” the groom Tweeted Monday.
The newlyweds followed the ceremony with a reception at Redondo Beach Historic Library, where singer Matt White performed “Love and Affection” for their first dance. Siegfried personally reached out to White to perform the song, which he also played during the couple’s date in Germany on the show, as a surprise for Hartsock.
“She was in shock,” a guest at the wedding tells PEOPLE. “Everybody was crying.”
Adds the guest: “Chris and Des seemed so happy. They were genuinely sweet. She teared up, he teared up. They are just nice people – so normal. It’s a shock they met on TV.”
The pair and their guests, including Bachelor alums Ali Fedotowsky and Brooks Forester, danced the night away to plenty of 90s rap played by DJ Tasos Hernandez, a contestant on Andi Dorfman‘s season of The Bachelorette.
“Everyone had a lot of fun,” says the guest. “Everyone was dancing.”
“So excited for the big day!” Siegfried, 29, Tweeted Thursday. “@DesHartsock and I can’t wait to share with everyone! #countdown #9days #hopingforsun.”
Hartsock, 28, and Siegfried, who moved in together after the show ended, have said the secret to their relationship is making sure they show each other affection.
“Chris knows how to surprise me with flowers or a simple note to make me feel special and thought of. That always makes me happy!” she told TheNest.com last year.
Meanwhile, Hartsock is “constantly reminding me how much she loves me,” Siegfried said. “I love that she makes sure she gets a kiss before I leave for work every day.”
The pair celebrated their engagement with an intimate party with their friends and family in Seattle last February.
Hartsock’s gal pals – including former Bachelor contestants Fedotowsky, Daniella McBride and Jackie Parr – also threw the former Bachelorette contestant a lavish bridal shower in Los Angeles over the summer.
While their wedding came off without a hitch, their road to the altar wasn’t exactly easy. Hartsock first fell hard for Forester, the former male model she believed was The One (out of the 25 suitors vying for her hand), but when he made it clear he didn’t feel the same way, Hartsock said she was “blindsided.”
The hurt didn’t last long. Shortly afterward, the reality star realized the man of her dreams had been in front of her all along.
“I love you, I love you so much,” she told Siegfried on the finale. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
On Monday, the couple left on a Hawaiian honeymoon, PEOPLE has learned.
“It was a beautiful occasion,” an insider tells PEOPLE.
Adds a source from the show: “The day was so filled with love; lots of people shed tears during the ceremony.”
