The two men wore white T-shirts with a red circle and line over Lochte’s last name and stepped onto the stage from the audience after the Olympian’s foxtrot with pro dancer Cheryl Burke.
As the protester turns towards the camera, he is swiftly tackled by security as his fellow protester is escorted off stage.
The tackled protester was actually pushed through Lochte, Burke and Bergeron as he was pushed to the ground and then escorted off stage with his hands behind his back.
After Bergeron announced the show would be breaking for an early commercial break, four women in similar shirts as the men continued to boo from their seats in the audience.
As many of the other audience members began chanting “Ryan” in support of Lochte, pro dancer Derek Hough rushed out on stage yelling to security to “get them out of here.”
The women were quickly ushered out of the ballroom by security.

“This is my home and I was just so shocked that people would come here and be so negative,” Hough, 31, told PEOPLE after Monday’s premiere. “This is a safe place for people to learn a new skill and seek redemption or start a new chapter in their life and that’s what Ryan is trying to do and I just felt so defensive that someone would try and ruin that for him and for everyone watching, so I took it upon myself to make sure they were escorted out. I wanted to protect my home.”
Dancing with the Stars returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
