Follow Sweetin and her partner Keo Motsepe on Twitter! Last week was emotional, but I could not have been happier to get out there and share my story. I thought Keo had crafted a beautifully cathartic experience for me. He chose to end the song on a high note, just like where I am in my life right now. That said, I was so happy to get the dance over with. It was extremely emotionally demanding and I was giving it my all every time we rehearsed it so I was emotionally exhausted when I got home Monday night. It didn’t help matters that we were put in jeopardy at the end of the episode, but I had confidence in the work we’d put into our dance the week before so I was hoping we’d be safe. Poor Keo though, since he’s gone home early in past seasons, he admitted that his heart was racing like crazy until we found out we were safe. This week is all about fun, though. It’s Disney Week and we are dancing a cha-cha to Shakira‘s “Try Everything” from the Zootopia soundtrack. The dance is super high-energy and fun, but there are a few things that have made this week more nerve-racking than past weeks. First off, the dance is about 30 seconds longer than our routines have been in the past. That may not sound like a long time, but it’s a ton when you consider our dances were only about a minute until now. At the end of every run-through of the routine, I’m exhausted! And secondly, we are adding a fun but difficult technical element to our dance – we are going to be dancing with the animated characters from Zootopia. That meant we had to have our routine locked in early and send video of the rehearsals to the animators so they could prepare the animation. That’s created a lot of pressure to be extremely precise in our moves. If we are off even a little – or if I even look in a slightly different place – the audience at home is going to be able to tell because it will look off. But I’m really looking forward to just going out there and having a blast night. My kids will be in the audience so that will be great motivation. I just wish they could see the animation live in the ballroom! But we’ll rewatch it when we get home. Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
