In an emotional pre-recorded segment, she talked about making her return to TV with Full House and DWTS. “I’m worried about what other people think,” she told her partner Keo Motsepe, tearing up. “When I was a kid I didn’t care if I looked stupid. Now as an adult I have this fear.” The star made her intro to the show via a spot-on Full House parody. Then she came out to a passionate performance to Demi Lovato‘s “Confident,” whipping the crowd into a frenzy. The judges gave her praise – and a little instruction as well. “It got a bit hectic on occasions and you were doing strange things with your head but you came out and you gave it some welly,” said Len Goodman. Bruno Tonioli praised the star, saying, “It had a bit of a bite and an attitude. I didn’t know you could be so alluring. I like that,” said Tonioli. Carrie Ann Inaba liked the performance, but recommended that Sweetin adjust the intense look on her face for next week. “People do this often. They’re trying to be intense, but it comes off as a glued-on look. Everything else was fantastic,” said Inaba. Sweetin, 34, earned a 20/30. “I’m not afraid to put myself out there and share my emotions with the world,” Sweetin told PEOPLE afterwards. “Every day I’m working on facing my fears and becoming a better person. I feel great about how things went tonight, but that doesn’t mean I have any less fear about next week. I think I’ll be nervous every show.” For more from Sweetin, check out her exclusive PEOPLE blog. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
