Another era of Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy has come to an end.

Arguably the goofiest duo on Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars, Alley, 61, and Chmerkovskiy, 32, kept the jokes coming, even after being sent home during Tuesday night’s double-elimination.

When asked how she managed to tame her bad-boy partner, Alley told PEOPLE with a laugh, “Tranquilizers. Horse tranquilizers because human ones didn’t work.”

But in all seriousness, reflecting on the season, the actress says, “We got better and we had fun. [I] got to meet a lot of amazing people. Maks tried his hardest. But the bottom line is there are extraordinary dancers here, and the first time we did the show, it was sort of – everyone was a little even-steven. From the time I saw this cast, I was slightly tripping.”

Although she doesn’t seem to have any regrets, Alley admits, “I learned [I’m] insane for joining this cast.”

Even so, the madness was worth it.

“I’m so glad I did it,” she explained. “Maks and I have an amazing relationship that evolves. And before this [season], I didn’t know our position with each other, and I do now.”

Facing Chmerkovskiy, who was standing next to her, Alley shouted, “You love me! … I love [you], too.”

Next up for the funny lady is some much deserved relaxation.

“I’m sleeping,” she says. “I’ve decided for 48 hours, I’m going to hire someone to wait on me and give me whatever I want while I watch Law & Order and Criminal Minds.”
