America’s task of picking a style and song for Dancing with the StarsChris Soules and Witney Carson to perform on Monday’s episode was easy enough, but what about whether Prince Farming should wear a shirt during the routine?

Even easier.

In an exclusive clip from rehearsals for their contemporary dance to Sam Smith‘s “Lay Me Down,” Soules and Carson show they’re not above tantalizing viewers with a little flesh when the stakes are high.

Over the weekend, Carson – who won last year’s Mirrorball Trophy with Alfonso Ribeiro – Tweeted two options for Soules’ costume: shirtless or with a shirt. No surprise, the farmer’s bare chest was winning the race by a large margin at the time of press.

“We’re at the bottom of the leader board,” acknowledges the former Bachelor leading man, 33, in the sneak-peek clip of Monday’s rehearsal footage. “Clearly America has kept me in this competition, so we have let them take the reins this week.”

With just two weeks until the performance finale, will the partners’ tactics pay off?

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
