People Editorial Guidelines Published on October 20, 2015 01:55 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough received a standing ovation on Dancing with the Stars Monday, but their Dirty Dancing routine almost was a little more dirty than they intended. “We were rehearsing [in the hallway outside the studio] before the show and suddenly things were going wrong that had never gone wrong before,” Hough told PEOPLE after the show on Monday. “All of a sudden I couldn’t turn and I was freaking out,” added Irwin. We ran over to wardrobe and I said, ‘Please sew the dress to her underwear so it won’t slide up.’ ” And it was a good solution. “They were literally cutting the string right as we were running on stage to perform,” said Hough. “We were really nervous. But it went great.” “It was the ultimate trust fall,” Irwin added of recreating the iconic dance move originally made famous by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in the 1987 classic film. “You just have to jump and know you can rely on your partner.
