PenaVega chanelled Winona Ryder‘s Kim, while Ballas managed to dance in a full Edward costume, complete with giant scissors for hands.
“It was a super boost in confidence to get that feedback from the judges tonight,” she told PEOPLE. “We worked so hard, and I just wanted to go out there and show everyone that I really want to be here.”
“Your heart just drops to the pit of your stomach. Going through that is scary,” she wrote of landing in the bottom two last week. “But I also see it as a blessing in disguise. That moment bonded Mark and me in a way that we hadn’t been bonded before. He grabbed me and held on to me as we went through that together.”
