Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars may be done, but Alek Skarlatos‘ dancing days are far from over.

The Paris train hero was a fan-favorite during the most-recent season of the ABC reality dance competition, and now he’s headed out on the Dancing with the Stars Live! Dance All Night Tour.

“Getting to be on this season of DWTS has been incredible and I can’t wait for the adventure to continue,” Skarlatos tells PEOPLE of being asked to join dance fellow contestant Hayes Grier and pros Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Brittany Cherry, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Keo Motsepe, and Peta Murgatroyd, as well as his season 21 crush, Emma Slater, and partner, Lindsay Arnold, on the tour.

“I’m excited to get to go out there and perform without the pressure of being scored by judges,” says Skarlatos. “Before coming on the show, I’d never danced before and I didn’t know how much work and how much fun it could be. I’m really glad Lindsay and I will get to focus on the fun part a little more now.”

As for his future after the tour – which kicks off Dec. 15 and will hit 43 cities before ending on Valentine’s Day 2016 – Skarlatos is unsure if he’ll return home to Oregon or stay in Los Angeles.

“I’m having an amazing time and I have no definite plans,” he says. “I’ll just keep looking for work and if I find it, I’ll stay!”
