Another 'Dancing with the Stars' Switch-Up! Jana Kramer's Partner Gleb Savchenko out with Knee Injury

"Doctors have advised Gleb to rest his knee," reads a statement released by DWTS to PEOPLE

As the competition continues to get tighter, Dancing with the Stars has lost another pro dancer to injury.

Gleb Savchenko has been sidelined by a knee injury and is only able to play an advisory role in rehearsals with celeb partner Jana Kramer as they prepare for the Showstopper Week live show.

“Doctors have advised Gleb to rest his knee,” reads a statement released by DWTS to PEOPLE. “In the meantime, he is helping Jana as she continues to rehearse for Monday’s show.”

A source tells PEOPLE there was no major fall or trauma that led to Savchenko’s injury but that DWTS troupe member Alan Bernsten began standing in for him in rehearsals Thursday.

“Gleb is still going to rehearsals but Jana is running the routine with Alan,” says the source. “They won’t know until Monday if Gleb will be able to dance on the live show.”

Country singer Kramer posted a photo on Instagram Thursday night with herself, Bernseten and Savchenko all making sad faces in a rehearsal room.

Bernsten is no stranger to stepping in to replace a pro dancer. Last season, he replaced injured Mark Ballas as UFC fighter Paige VanZant‘s partner during week 2 of the competition.

If Kramer has to dance with Bernsten on Monday’s live show, she may not be the only star dancing with a replacement partner.

IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe danced with pro Jenna Johnson last Monday after his original partner, Sharna Burgess, suffered a knee injury the week before. It is still unclear if Burgess will be cleared to dance with him Monday or if he’ll once again hit the floor with Johnson.

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
