PEOPLE staff writer (and resident Dancing with the Stars season 23 expert) Patrick Gomez predicts who will take home the Mirrorball Trophy Tuesday night:

When the cast for season 23 was announced in August, it was pretty clear who the front-runner was: Laurie Hernandez.

The effervescent Olympian had everything a winner needs. Natural athletic ability? Check. Insane work ethic? Check. Winning personality? Double check.

And when Hernandez first took to the ballroom for a cha-cha with her pro partner Valentin Chermkovskiy, she did not disappoint.

“You are awesome. That was so wonderful. You lit up this room,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “You just have this incredible sparkle.”

But there was another competitor who rose to the top of the leader board that night, too. IndyCar racer James Hinchcliffe and partner Sharna Burgess ended the night tying Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy’s judges’ score of 31.

“You are hands-down the best male dancer we have ever had on this show,” judge Julianne Hough told Hinchcliffe after his rumba on Latin Week.

Now, Hernandez and Hinchcliffe have made it all the way to the finals with former NFL star Calvin Johnson, whose infectious smile and impressive lifts with partner Lindsay Arnold have made him a true contender.

So, who will stand triumphant when hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announce the winner Tuesday?

Surprisingly talented Hinchcliffe has been incredibly charming — and the story of his near-fatal car accident has pulled at the heartstrings — but the safe bet is still Hernandez.

The gymnast ended Monday ahead of Hinchcliffe by one judges’ point and Johnson by three judges’ points. Plus, she’s most likely to absorb eliminated contestant Jana Kramer‘s voting base.

So who do you think will win season 23?
