New mom of two and Little Women L.A. star Terra Jolé is making history as the first little person to compete on Dancing with the Stars, and she’s blogging about season 23 exclusively for PEOPLE. Follow Jolé, 36, and her partner Sasha Farber, 33, on Twitter!

I loved everything about my Charleston last week. It reminded me of when I was in show choir as a kid.

It was one of the fastest numbers I have performed a dance to so far and definitely had more tricks than ever. I loved every moment of being flipped and twisted by Sasha, but it was a risk given my hernias.

Playing it safe, I’m now constantly wearing a brace, but I’m still pushing myself to the very limit. I know I’ll pay for it later, but it’s worth it.

And I’m seeing the results in the scores!

It was my first week of not one but two 10s, which made me so happy. I can’t express how GREAT it made me feel about the progress I’ve been making in this competition. Who knew this “little” woman would make it this far?!

But it was sad to see Marilu Henner and Derek Hough go home. She was my compadre! Not only did we dance together last week, but we talked all the time outside of DWTS. I’m sad to see her go and truly hope that one day we have a talk show together. Her raw, hilarious personality contains no filter and she’s so fun to be around.

This week has a very Latin feel. I’ll be dancing a rumba with Sasha and a tango with Sasha and Artem Chigvintsev!
It’s my first week dancing with another man, and I like it! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Sasha and feel completely connected to him. However, having Artem’s energy in the room is fantastic!

I was worried at first because he is so unlike Sasha, but we are blending into a beautiful trio of dance. I’m a sexy detective and they are my suspects. Who’s excited? I am!!!

Aside from learning how to dance, this experience is exposing a confidence and strengths that I never knew I had. My perseverance through the tough moments has changed as well. I’m not giving up and I’m giving each dance everything I have to shine through to the finals!

And we’re pulling out all the stops and trying new tricks and dances to get me to that finale next week. For the first time I’m acting sexy on the dance floor. I have to serve the best sexy Terra possible and give it 200 percent or it will come out horribly!

I came into this competition with no expectations, so I’m honored that I’m in the semi-finals. Now that I’m here, all I can think about is making the finale. Sasha and I are preparing hard and I hope fans and all of our dancing can get us there!

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
