The judges were especially nitpicky on last night’s Dancing semi-finals when it came to Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson. Rycroft, who earned her first perfect score for her sizzling salsa last week, found herself a little outside of the judges’ favor for her and partner Tony Dovolani‘s cha cha cha. They received a rousing standing ovation from the audience, but only lukewarm remarks from the judges. Bruno Tonioli said it was only “sensational” in moments, while Len Goodman said he “liked it but not as much as I was hoping to.” (The duo received a 27 out of 30.) Johnson seemed to be on her way to winning the judges over (earning a 30 out of 30 for her and partner Mark Ballas‘s Argentine tango), but her second dance, the jive, fell short of their expectations. Goodman thought there was “too much messing-about dancing going on,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said the gymnast “lost a little steam in the end.” (The duo got a 26 out of 30.) Tell us:
