Lost Actress Cynthia Watros Is Replacing Michelle Stafford on General Hospital

General Hospital is shaking things up.
Lost actress Cynthia Watros will be taking over the role of Nina Clay-Cassadine from star Michelle Stafford on the long-running ABC soap, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
Watros, 50, who also starred on Guiding Light (she won a Daytime Emmy in 1998 for her role as Annie Dutton) and The Young and the Restless (as Kelly Andrews), will begin filming in early June.
General Hospital fans have watched Stafford, 53, star on the series as Nina since 2014. She has appeared in 397 episodes thus far, according to her IMDb profile.
In addition to General Hospital, Stafford is well-known to soap opera fans as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless, on which she starred from 1994-2015.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC (check local listings).
