Kelly Rutherford has a court date in Monaco on Oct. 26
Brinkley, who endured her own bitter fight for custody of her children with architect Peter Cook, posted a goofy photo of the stars posing by a pool Thursday.
“I’m using this fun picture to catch your attention to a serious issue that every good parent needs to be aware of,” wrote Brinkley, 61. “The problem with our broken family / divorce court system and how the person with the slickest lawyer can wreak havoc on our children, their lives, and their future.”
Brinkley went on to say that Rutherford’s six-year legal drama “appears to be trademark actions by an extreme narcissist and his high paid lawyers. This is both a cautionary tale on International law and custody issues, and a call to action.”
Rutherford, 46, will fly to Monaco soon for an Oct. 26 hearing. She has been trying to bring son Hermes, 8, and daughter Helena, 6, back to the United States, where they were born, since 2012, when a California judge sent them to live with their father, German businessman Daniel Giersch, in Monaco and France temporarily – even though the exes have joint custody.
