Chris Pratt is going guerrilla to promote the farewell season of Parks and Recreation.

In a bit that aired Wednesday, the funnyman stopped by late night host Jimmy Kimmel‘s office to ask him which bow tie he should wear for his interview later that night. The only problem? Pratt wasn’t on Kimmel’s slate of celebs.

“No, I got an Evite,” Pratt insisted.

“We don’t send Evites to guests, you know,” Kimmel explained. “We call your publicists.”

“Oh, yeah, no, it’s from my brother,” Pratt said after checking his phone. “I call him Jimmy Kimmel. It’s a joke we have … he’s morbidly obese.”

Still, Pratt decided to “just bang one out,” summoning the house band and Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo (in only his underwear) for a mock interview.

“I’ve got great anecdotes,” he promised Kimmel, later prompting, “Why don’t you ask me what my Aunt Linda said at Christmas?”

Watch the clip above to see Pratt ham it up for the nonexistent audience. Parks and Recreation returns for its seventh season Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
