Since fans can’t get back the cul-de-sac, Home & Family decided to bring the cul-de-sac back to fans!

On Thursday, the talk show will feature a special reunion of Knots Landing castmembers Joan Van Ark and Donna Mills, as well as Kevin Dobson, Michele Lee and Ted Shackelford. Even Alec Baldwin, who appeared on the Dallas spin-off from 1984-85, showed up via Skype.

The cast talked a lot about the primetime soap’s legacy with hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare.

“David Jacobs, who created the show with Michael Filerman, said that Dallas was about ‘them’ and Knots Landing was about ‘us,’ meaning the relatable, close to the bone, more normal … [without the] furs sliding off their shoulder and diamonds and the whole thing,” said Van Ark, in a transcript released to PEOPLE.

“We were the original Real Housewives,” added Mills.

Baldwin, who even showed off his daughter Carmen via Skype, seemed particularly giddy to reunite with his former castmates.

“Don t we all look the same? We look the same,” he said. “There was such good acting on some of those shows like Falcon Crest and Dallas and so forth but I like to think of Knots Landing as the Royal Shakespeare Company of nighttime drama.”

Home & Family, which is about to celebrate its 500th episode, airs at 10 a.m. ET/PT on Hallmark.
