Charlie Weber may have to give How to Get Away with Murder costar Viola Davis some tips when it comes to shooting steamy sex scenes.

The 51-year-old actress recently revealed that Davis injured her back while shooting a intimate scene for the ABC hit, and Weber says she’s still getting used to the acting challenge.

“That’s never something she saw for herself, so it’s been a trying thing for her,” he tells PEOPLE Now.

It turns out that Davis isn’t alone. The man who plays Frank Delfino on the drama revealed that although his hookups on HTGAWM have been injury-free, that hasn’t always been the case.

“I remember I got a bloody lip once from a little too aggressive kiss,” Weber, 38, shares. “I just remember tooth hitting my lip.”

During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Davis revealed that she had to make some new rules regarding those steamy hookup scenes.

“I told them, ‘No more sex scenes!’ Well, sex scenes but, ‘You can not throw me up against the wall,’ ” she said.

“They threw me up against the wall the first season and I threw my back out for two weeks – and my hip! So, I limped around for two weeks and I said, “No more walls.’ “

How to Get Away with Murder airs Thursdays (10 p.m. ET) on ABC.
