Stranger Things costars Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer traded their on-camera ’80s garb for red carpet glam over the weekend.

The duo, who star as love interests on the Netflix hit and are dating in real life, were snapped Monday standing arm-in-arm on the red carpet for the 2017 Fashion Awards — in partnership with Swarovski — at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

For the fashion-centric event, 23-year-old Heaton — who portrays high school outsider Jonathan Byers — sported a black dress shirt and black pants, which he paired with a floral-adorned, mustard-colored bomber jacket.

And 20-year-old Dyer — who stars as Nancy Wheeler on the coming-of-age, sci-fi show — wore a black and maroon short-sleeved dress, which had a silver and black star pattern throughout. For the evening event, her blonde locks were pulled back into a high updo.

The pair’s appearance comes comes nearly a year after they were spotted jetting out of Los Angeles International Airport together in January and just over a month after Heaton was detained at LAX for alleged cocaine possession.

Heaton was denied entry into the United States in October and sent back to the United Kingdom the same day, a law enforcement official confirmed to PEOPLE. Authorities allegedly found cocaine on the actor as he arrived into the country. He was detained, but not arrested.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Heaton apologized for missing the L.A. Stranger Things season 2 premiere.

“My planned travel to the U.S. last week was affected by an issue at U.S. immigration, and I am working to rectify it as soon as possible,” he said in his statement. “I do want to clarify that I was not arrested or charged with a crime, and cooperated fully with the U.S. officials at LAX. I’m sorry to all the fans and my Stranger Things family for missing the premiere. We are all so proud of this season and I would never want this story to negatively impact the show.”
