Celebrity Deathmatch is back from the grave.

The hilarious claymation television series that featured celebrities squaring off in a boxing ring for a gruesome battle to the death is returning to MTV2 after an eight-year hiatus.

“The classic animated series returns, featuring no-holds barred fantasy fights between infamous figures from the worlds of entertainment and pop culture, reimagined for a world of social media and hourly Twitter wars,” Viacom said in a statement on Tuesday.

The show originally aired from 1998 2002 on MTV and was brought back for a short run on MTV2 in 2006. The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news of the new series.

Some classic matches included Jim Carrey vs. Mariah Carey, Kid Rock vs. Eminem, Ozzy Osbourne vs. Elton John and Michael Jackson vs. Madonna.

Fans of the show have already taken to Twitter to shower creator Eric Fogel with ideas for new showdowns.

Some favorite suggestions: Iggy Azalea vs. Azealia Banks, Drake vs. Chris Brown and the Kardashians vs. TMZ. We’re guessing Justin Bieber and Kanye West won’t be safe either.

Fogel Tweeted back at fans today saying, “Loving all these match up suggestions. Keep ’em coming!”

Let’s get ready to rumble.
