One Las Vegas magician. Two hours. One crazy finale. There was just one last piece of the puzzle left to add as the fifth season of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice wrapped up on Sunday night. Who would emerge victorious – Trace Adkins or Penn Jillette? To find out who wasn’t fired during the final showdown, keep reading … In the end, Adkins outdueled Jillette, raising $1,554,072 for the American Red Cross, while Jillette raised $598,655 for Opportunity Village. As the winner, Adkins earned an extra $250,000 prize for his designated charity. The finale was a circus-like affair, with appearances by many of the previously fired contestants, as well as cameos by the likes of Wayne Newton, Gilbert Gottfried, Taylor Hicks, Tony Stewart, Tim Tebow and Penn’s magic partner Teller. “Sometimes in life, we begin a task wondering if it’s the right thing to do,” Adkins said. “Tonight, I can proudly say that competing on the show a second time ended up being a very good thing. I was honored to play for the American Red Cross – they came to my family’s aid when we needed them, and I am a man who repays my debts.” “Trace is a star all the way and now joins Piers Morgan, Joan Rivers, Bret Michaels, John Rich and Arsenio Hall as winners of the toughest reality show on television today,” said show runner Donald Trump. “I’d also like to salute Penn, who was also a very impressive player.” Trump also awarded Lil Jon $100,000 for his charity, the American Diabetes Association, for being the fan favorite.
