Celebs Who've Visited Tiger King Stars Joe Exotic & Doc Antle’s Zoos
After visiting Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as “Joe Exotic,” and his former zoo, O'Neal set the record straight about his relationship with the subject of Netflix's Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness and his involvement with the zoo in an episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”
“Listen, people are going to make their own opinions, but, again, I was just a visitor,” O’Neal said, after admitting he had visited the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park a couple of times and donated money to the park before he knew what was happening behind the scenes. “I met this guy — not my friend. Don’t know him. Never had any business dealings with him, and I had no idea any of that stuff was going on.”
When asked by his co-host if his appearance at the Oklahoma park could paint him in a “bad light,” O’Neal said he wasn’t worried.
“People that know me know that I’m righteous,” he said.
The rapper cuddled with a cute cub at Exotic's park in 2018.
The YouTube star visited Doc Antle's wildlife safari in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to participate in a tiger conservation PSA back in February.
"The champ and I talking tigers," Antle captioned this photo of him and Mayweather at Myrtle Beach Safari.
Antle and his crew brought his wildlife family to The Tonight Show to appear on the former host's program back in the '00s, with guest Kate Winslet.
Baby Vali the chimp got to hang with Flay during the Food Network star's visit to Antle's facility.
The star spent a day taking Antle's Wild Encounters Tour and swimming with tigers and cubs.
The NFL star posed with Angada the chimp at Antle's Myrtle Beach Safari.
Another star to meet Angada the chimp was rapper Gates, during a night safari at Antle's establishment.
Naomie Olindo & Metul Shah
Cheetah boy Tut made a guest appearance at Antle's Safari Manor guest house when the stars of Southern Charm came to visit.
Olindo recently apologized for her trip to the facility, writing on Instagram, “Ugh we are SO embarrassed, believe me. We had no idea the depth of the manipulation and how terrible of a situation this place was. We also made a mistake in that we didn’t do our research before going, and have huge regrets. I love animals and didn’t realize I was doing more harm than good by supporting this place. Really heartbreaking and I feel pretty stupid tbh."
The "Panda" rapper also stopped by Antle's to help with a tiger conservation PSA.
Though there isn't evidence of her visiting Antle's facility, Spears did work with Antle for her 2001 performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Antle was the animal handler during Spears’ performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U," as the singer opened the song inside a cage with Antle and a liger (a hybrid of a tiger mother and lion father), then stormed the stage to dance with a live python.
