James Corden‘s latest "Carpool Karaoke" might be his best work yet – thanks to his always-on-point guest Jennifer Lopez.

On Tuesday, CBS aired the Late Late Show host’s hour-long “Carpool Karaoke” primetime special, and it’s safe to say his closing number with Lopez, 46, stole the show.

After belting out a few of the pop star’s hits, including “Jenny from the Block” and “Booty,” Corden, 37, asked Lopez who the most famous person she has in her phone is – and that’s when things got very entertaining.

As it turns out, Lopez has quite the galaxy of stars in her contact list: Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Bradley Cooper, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson – but when she got to Cristiano Ronaldo, Corden could hardly contain his excitement.

“Oh my God – hang on, I’ve got to pull in,” he said, pulling the car into a parking lot and grabbing Lopez’s phone to see for himself. “This is the best phone I’ve ever seen in my life. This is insane. Fergie, Iggy Azalea.”

But the fun really started when Corden decided to send a personal text to the celeb of his choice – and he chose none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.

“Hey Leo–” he started to type before Lopez interrupted him, explaining that she would never start a text with “Hey Leo.”

After some back-and-forth, Corden crafted the following gem: “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know. J.Lo, you know, from the block.”

“I’m not going to let you send that!” the Shades of Blue star said, laughing – but it was too late: Corden had already pressed send and off it went.

After lamenting the fact that she would have to find a way to explain the text to the actor, Lopez and Corden did another round of karaoke (“On the Floor” this time), and by the time they were done, DiCaprio had already replied.

“He wrote back!” Lopez said.

Corden couldn’t believe it: “No way. No, he did not!”

As for the response? It didn’t disappoint – in fact, it might be the best thing you see all day.

“He said: ‘You mean tonight, boo boo? Club-wise?’ ” Lopez read as Corden erupted with laughter.

“See, here’s the funny part is that he actually thinks I’m serious!” she added.

“I love that he wants you to cut loose. This guy is the best,” Corden said.

But alas, we’ll never get to know what it’s like when Lopez hits the club with DiCaprio: “I’m totally not [going]!” she told Corden.” I’ll be home cooking with my kids.”

Fair enough, J.Lo. Fair enough.

Catch more of Corden when The Late Late Show airs at 12:37 a.m. ET on CBS.
