Here’s some news we really ( really really really really really) like: Carly Rae Jepsen will play everyone’s favorite fuschia-haired beauty school dropout in Fox’s upcoming Grease: Live.

The pop star will play Frenchy in the musical’s reboot, joining an already A-list cast that includes Julianne Hough as Sandy, Les Misérables actor Aaron Tveit as Danny, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, current Dancing with the Stars contender Carlos Penavega as Kenickie and Keke Palmer as Marty.

This isn’t Jepsen’s first time joining a live musical cast: Last year the singer – whose latest album Emotion has earned rave reviews – starred in in Cinderella on Broadway.

And Jepsen isn’t the only Top 40 star set to appear in the Fox special. Jessie J will open the show with a special arrangement of “Grease (Is the Word).”
