Carly Fiorina appeared on The View Friday morning via satellite in the wake of co-host’s Joy Behar and Michelle Collins controversial comments about her appearance.

In addition to discussing issues like minimum wage and what it means to be a feminist – Whoopi Goldberg took the opportunity to “clear the air” surrounding the recent controversy – Goldberg asked Fiorina how she plans to “thicken her skin” to “accept some of the humorous things that will be said” about her.

“If you meant your comment about my face being demented and a Halloween mask is humorous, so be it.” Fiorina responded, “I guess you misinterpreted Donald Trump’s comments about my face and thought those weren’t humorous, because you kind of took him to task.”

Joy Behar responded to Fiorina’s remark by explaining that the two are incomparable as Trump is running for President while they are “comedians.”

“You know what Joy, you can say whatever you want. I’m not going to stop that,” Fiorina said, “and don t worry, I have skin plenty thick enough to take whatever people throw at me. I think there are real issues in this nation that we ought to able to discuss in a fact-based [conversation].”
