Even after their divorce, Caitlyn Jenner has a special place in her heart for ex-wife Kris Jenner.

“Reading the VF article reminded me of the love & good times Kris & I shared for so many years,” she Tweeted on Friday, referring to this month’s Vanity Fair cover story in which she made her debut as a woman. “Wouldn’t trade that time for anything!”

But the road has been rocky for the former couple: Kris, 59, had trouble coping with Caitlyn’s transition from male to female and accused her of lying throughout their 22-year marriage.

In E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians special about Caitlyn – which aired in May and was filmed months before her transition – the reality stars filmed a tearful but ultimately tender conversation about the future of their friendship.

“I still love you, baby,” said Caitlyn, 65. “Is there anything I can do now to make it better for you?”

“Just live the happiest life you can live,” Kris responded. “That’s all I care about … and that you can find the peace you’ve been looking for for so long.”

Caitlyn will make her next official public appearance at ESPN’s ESPY Awards on July 15, when she’ll receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
