Talk about friendly exes!

On Thursday, E! released the midseason supertease for Caitlyn Jenner‘s I Am Cait series, and, throughout the clip, the former Olympian gets up to all sorts of fun stuff – but the moment that’s got everyone’s attention is the split-second she locks lips with her ex-wife Kris Jenner.

The scene was filmed when Kris, 60, joined Caitlyn and her friends on a trip to New Orleans.

After throwing beads off of balconies, the two exes are on a bus with the whole group when Caitlyn leans in, puts both hands around Kris’ face and plants one on her as everyone cheers.

Later in the episode, the two sit down for a sweet heart-to-heart, and Caitlyn, 66, offers her ex-wife an apology for the ways things unraveled after she publicly transitioned last June. (At the time, Kris was outraged at some of Caitlyn’s comments in her Vanity Fair cover interview, and much of the tension between the two was chronicled on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and I Am Cait last season.)

“You’re absolutely right,” Caitlyn tells Kris in the latest sneak peek. “I just want to apologize for the way I acted. It didn’t have to be that way.”

The teaser trailer also shows Caitlyn spending time with her close friend Candis Cayne: the two try on wedding dresses together and it looks at one point like they might even lock lips, too!

Caitlyn also hangs out with Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex Scott Disick, who will appear on Sunday’s upcoming episode, and explores her political affiliations – which have come under fire from her fellow transgender activists this season.

“Republicans. Your people. They don’t like us,” pal Jenny Boylan tells Caitlyn in the clip.

“They’re not my people if they’re against this issue!” responds Caitlyn.

Despite a few clashes, the women are proud of how Caitlyn has grown since embracing her true identity as a woman.

“You found out how to express yourself as a woman and listen. And for that, you’ve earned my respect and complete support,” says one friend.

I Am Cait airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
